How to book

All bookings must be made in writing with our Reservation Office and all guests should be in possession of a valid booking confirmation obtained from our Reservation Office.

Rates quoted are effective from 1 December 2017 to 30 November 2018. All Rates are inclusive of 14% VAT.

To confirm all accommodation bookings, we do require a 50% deposit to be paid to confirm the reservation. This may be deposit by Internet Banking (EFT), transferred directly into our bank account, with a copy of the deposit emailed to: email hidden; JavaScript is required. Proof of payment may also be faxed-2-email: +266 2226 4043.

A Credit Card number will also secure your reservation. We will require a Credit Card Authorisation Form to be filled out & returned to the Reservations Office to process the required deposit. The balance may be paid at the Lodge, either by Cash or Credit Card. We accept Visa, Master & Debit Cards. (Regret no Diners Club or American Express Cards).

Extras (balance of accommodation, beverages, meals, activities) can be paid direct at the Lodge prior to departure by cash or credit card. Semonkong Lodge only accept payment by EFT if being done direct on site. Semonkong Lodge has the rights to take a copy of Guess CC details before departure. Semonkong Lodge will not allow their guests to leave the premises without completing their final payment/bill.

Cancellation Policy, Terms and Conditions:

1. Please notify the Lodge of any changes to your reservation details, late arrivals or cancellations.

2. Check in time is from 14h00 to 18h00; check out time is by 10h00.

3. Your reservation will only be guaranteed after the deposit amount requested is received.

4. A 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking within 14 days from making the reservation. With all December, Easter & Long Weekend Reservations, a 100% deposit is required. Payment of the deposit is also the acknowledgment of our terms & conditions.

5. With all Christmas, Easter & Long Weekend reservations there will be a minimum booking of 3 nights.

7. Should you want to pay by Credit Card, we will require you to fill out a Credit Card Authorisation Form (emailed on request) in order to process the required deposit. We are not authorised by the Banks to accept telephonic credit card details. The balance may be paid at the Lodge, either by Cash or Credit Card. We accept Visa, Master Card & Debit Cards. (Regret No Diners Club or American Express).

8. Semonkong Lodge reserves the right to release bookings that are not guaranteed.

9. A NO-SHOW fee of 100% will be charged if guests fail to arrive at the Lodge on the stated date or if cancellations are done within 24 hours of arrival.

10. The facilities available at the Lodge are strictly reserved for the use of residents.

11. Rooms sleep a maximum of 2 adults unless otherwise specified. Children aged between 4 – 10 years are charged half price on en-suite room accommodation only. Children aged below 4 years stay free of charge.

12. No pets allowed.

13. No smoking inside any of the buildings is permitted.

14. We do not provide a Room Service facility to the rooms from the Kitchen or Bar. The Duck & Donkey Tavern is available for meals & drinks.

15.With regard to all activities, we do require Indemnity Forms to be filled out once at the Lodge. Should you have Medical Insurance, please supply us with your Medical Insurance Number in case of any emergency.

16. It is Lodge Policy that will all horse riding, donkey pub crawling & mountain biking activities, riding helmets must be worn.

17. We strongly recommend that you take out Travel & Medical Insurance should you wish to partake in any of the adventure activities on offer.

18. Neither Semonkong Lodge (Proprieter: Semonkong Lodge (Pty) Ltd) nor any or all of the Community, villages or other persons acting for, through or on behalf of the above, shall be responsible for any death, injury or illness sustained or suffered by a person, or for any lost or damage to any property occurring within or arising from a visit to Semonkong Lodge or participation in all activities or surroundings however caused, & whether allegedly due to the negligence or otherwise of the members, employees, agents or helpers of Semonkong Lodge or arising from the use of any of the facilities supplied or from any alleged defect in any equipment, services or conveyance supplied or made available from any liquid or foodstuff supplied, or arising in other other manner & from any other cause whatsoever.

Cancellation Policy:

1. A no-show fee of 100% will be charged if guests fail to arrive at the Lodge on the stated date or if cancellations are done within 24 hours of arrival.

2. Should a reservation be cancelled for whatever reason between 30 – 120 days prior to date of travel, a 15% non-refundable cancellation fee will be charged.

3. Should a reservation be cancelled for whatever reason between 15 – 30 days prior to arrival, a 30% non-refundable cancellation fee will be charged.

4. Should a reservation be cancelled between 8 – 14 days prior to arrival, a 70% non-refundable cancellation fee will be charged.

5. Should a reservation be cancelled between 0 – 7 days prior to arrival, a 100% non-refundable cancellation fee will be charged.

6. Should a reservation not be honoured because of extreme weather conditions, the deposit paid will be held in lieu of a 3 month re-visit period.

Terms & Conditions as well as our Cancellation Policy are deemed as being accepted on receipt of deposit (non-negotiable). Semonkong Lodge reserves the right to cancel any activity due to weather conditions or any other unforeseen event.

 

 

Tour Operators & Groups:

We request that confirmations or cancellations be done 45 days prior to your arrival. We also request that full payment 100% be made 2 weeks prior to your arrival, with the proof of payment sent via email.
