Semonkong Lodge offers accommodation in Lesotho, and is perfectly situated on the banks of the Malestunyane River. The accommodation, built of traditional stone and thatch, offers just the right balance of rustic elegance; with affordable & comfortable ensuite rooms, crackling fires & warm beds!

Thaba Tséhla Bunkhouse:
The dormitories are 2 ensuite rondavels, each with their own fireplace. Dormitory no 21 accommodates 8 pax and dormitory no 22 accommodates 6 pax, both dormitories with bunk-beds. The dormitory costs LSL250.00 per person sharing per night. Linen is provided but please bring your own towels. There is a communal kitchen should you wish to self-cater.
For all en-suite rooms, rondavels & dormitories with fireplaces, the first bundle of wood is free of charge (provided daily), thereafter more bundles are available from reception at LSL100.00 or LSL150.00 per bundle.

Camping:
We have a small campsite. There are camping ablutions with hot showers, plug points & a braai area. There are no kitchen facilities for campers.
Camping at the river: LSL150.00 per person per night

Restaurant & Self Catering Kitchens
We have a fully licensed bar & restaurant. There is always a choice of menu with options for vegetarians. Should there be any special dietary requirements, we would appreciate knowing this in advance. Please note meal prices are subject to change without prior notification.
We source locally as much fresh produce as possible, some delivered on the back of a donkey! This includes freshly baked bread, organically grown vegetables & wild moroho (spinach) with locally farmed beans & potatoes too.
There are communal kitchens should you prefer to self-cater.

Telephones & WiFi:
Lesotho Sim cards & airtime may be purchased either in town or at The Duck & Donkey Tavern. Telephone calls may be made at Reception during office hours only. The WiFi password is available from Reception at a small fee. This is satellite internet & therefore weather can affect the signal. The Lodge can NOT take responsibility for this. This is accessible within the Duck & Donkey Tavern Zone only. Please note that with all Apple devices there seems to be a log-in issue.
